Latest update from Peruibe, Brazil on December 7, 2021.

Greetings from Peruíbe, Brazil! We all have so very much to be thankful for! We are grateful for all of your prayers and support. We are also very grateful for the privilege of serving the people of Peruíbe by sharing the good news of Christ with them. The Lord has gone before us and has done many great things! He is constantly placing people before us who need to hear about the Jesus of the Bible. It is our joy to tell them about our Lord and Savior.

In October, one of our sisters in the faith, Jessica, made the decision to be baptized! Ewerton had the privilege, along with our visiting pastors from Calvary Prescott, to baptize her in the Atlantic Ocean. She loves Jesus, is on fire for Him, and is sharing the gospel with her friends and family! Praise the Lord! Please keep Jessica and her husband, Glauber, in prayer as they continue to grow in the Lord.

We also have another wonderful answer to PRAYER! The Lord has provided a permanent building for us to rent for Calvary Peruíbe! We are excited to start being able to invite more people to church, to have a safe and permanent place to worship the Lord, teach the Word, and continue to bring as many people as possible to the Lord! God is faithful!

Several brothers from our sister church, Calvary Chapel São Vicente, dedicated an entire Saturday several weeks ago to help with the process of renovating the building. There is still plenty of work to get done; however, we are rejoicing in this answer to prayer. We are hoping to have the building in a better condition in time for the Christmas Eve service.

In August 2021, the Muniz family (Ewerton, Natasha and Gabriella) moved to Peruibe, Brazil (south of Sao Paulo). They will work to plant a church in this community of about 60,000 people and serve not only in the local community, but throughout the country. Ewerton has been a part of Mathetai trips to the Amazon where he has led worship, taught and translated.

Below is the latest update from the Muniz family on 8-30-21 as they arrive and settle in their new hometown:

Hello family and friends,
We are happy to report that we made it to Peruibe, Brazil!  We arrived about a week ago, and have mostly recovered from our jetlag! Praise the Lord!
Our family had a couple of busy months leading up to this move to Brazil. We were able to visit family in Minnesota, Washington, and New York, all within a period of four weeks. It was wonderful to see our families and to be able to say “see you later” for now. We are also grateful to have had the opportunity to see our church family and friends in Prescott prior to our departure. Thank you to those of you who reached out and offered practical help to us. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Our family had quite the adventure traveling with approximately 30 pieces of luggage! We were really concerned about Brazilian customs, however, the Lord gave us favor with the officials and they let us through with all of our stuff without much delay. Ewerton’s brother, nephew, and friend helped us once we arrived in Brazil.
We are currently staying with Ewerton’s brother and his new bride in Peruibe. Since our arrival, we have been searching for our own housing. There is a high demand for housing here which we were not anticipating. We found an apartment that we like, and have submitted an application to rent it. Hopefully we get approved this week. Please keep this in prayer as we need to find a place of our own soon. Ewerton did get sick upon our arrival but is feeling much better now. Natasha and Gabriella are feeling well, and are slowly adjusting to life here.
Ewerton has been able to meet a couple people in town, and is anticipating connecting with them soon. It has been great to be able to share about the Lord with his brother, Glauber, and his wife, Jessica. They are both very open to hearing from the Lord.
Please check out the attached video, and be on the lookout for more videos and email updates from us in the near future. We miss you all, but are excited to be here and to start the work that the Lord has called us to! Thank you for your prayers and support. We appreciate you all!
Deus te abençoe,

Ewerton, Natasha and Gabriella
